I was bubbling with excitement to play for Rebecca and Dominic’s stunning wedding in this historic underground marvel once used for the Thames Tunnel. It’s located at the Brunel Museum London and offers the most unique setting for wedding celebrations.

surrounded by its raw beauty of exposed brick walls, high vaulted ceilings and incredible historic vibe. With its cool blend of Victorian vibe and industrial charm – this intimate spot needs only minimal decorations to be wedding-ready – it’s breathtaking just as it is!
The acoustics? Perfect for my harp, blending effortlessly into the dramatic backdrop! Playing “Stand By Me” as Rebecca and Dominic walk down the iconic spiral staircase was just pure magic. Their ceremony, led by Dani, was intimate and heartfelt, capturing their love story beautifully. They also included a blessing for their daughter – the absolutely adorable Ivy!
For their ceremony music, they chose Canon in D and Leonard Cohen’s Dance Me to the End of Love, with the Succession theme song (a piece I had a blast learning and performing!) for their exit.
Pre-ceremonial
1. Prelude in C – Bach
2. Howl’s Moving Castle - Merry-Go-Round of Life

6.Nirvana - come as you are
7. Star of county down
8. Lana Del Rey - Young and Beautiful

"Dorothy was amazing, from initial communication to finalizing details was a smooth , friendly and fast process. Dorothy added the perfect ambience to our day and was up for the challenge of a very unusual venue . She even managed a bespoke request for our exit music .
Dorothy has an amazing catalogue of music and is very detailed orientated .She has also sent some lovely emails in the run up to and after.
Dorothy will add sparkle and magic to your event ."

That iconic spiral staircase may have made for a bit of a workout (my harp weighs 90 pounds!), but with an extra set of hands, a few breaks, and an early arrival, we managed smoothly…
And looking back on these stunning memories (captured so beautifully by @takethatheart), it’s worth every single step and it’s a labor of love I’d happily repeat!
P.S.
I’m always ready to tackle stairs for your special days—just let me know in advance before booking!
